Bring ONLY your identification. Do not bring a cellular phone! Judges hate them....trust me on this. If this is your first appearance it is unlikely that much will happen, beyond setting bail, at all. Ask for a public defender if you don't already have a defense attorney. You may be taken to prison. This is not uncommon, especially if bail is set at this hearing (and normally it is). You will be asked to enter a preliminary plea. That one is up to you. I suggest that you ask for an attorney rather than placing any kind of a plea.

Bring proper identification, and an ivy league lawyer. If you can't afford it maybe you shouldn't have waisted your money on drugs, and gone to college. I would suggest that you request a jail penalty. You need the time to reconsider your life and where it is going.

Start classes for drug counseling, and that bring in some proof that you have signed yourself up for help. This might help with the sentencing. However, if you were in possession, you will generally be found guilty, but like I said if you start the process for drug rehab, it will possibly help with the sentencing.
