Give them a jug of Egg Nog. Same result, but it seems less passive-agressive on the surface.

Are you intolerant of this person?
If so, it's the perfect gift to say express how you really feel!

...I'm so intolerant of you...here's something to express how you make me feel. I hope you get sick from this like I am of your presence!...

Words can't express it, but the lactose in milk can.

Nice touch!

Merry Xmas

Yes that would be very mean. A cruel joke. unless of course you didn't realise that they were lactose intolerant, but then why would you give someone a gift as lame as that?

No, but hopefully you can get a gift receipt with it.

What will they ever do with the 2 or 3 dollars they get? It's like giving a gift certificate...

It would be mean if you knew and did it anyway
Then again, it would be plain mean to give anybody a jug of milk for Christmas.

I certainly think it would. At the very least it would display a lack of sensitivity and very poor taste. Would you give wine to an alcoholic?
