I work at home. Most of my clients are very wealthy, and we come from different worlds , it's difficult to relate to them or them to me , so They are not friends , just aqaintences. I have a wonderful husband, but a friend would be nice. I've put myself out there only to be disapointed .

I am younger than you, but also very private. I believe that a best friend "happens"- not someone you look for, ... even after 10 years of living where I am now- I only have acquaintances, too. I always had a best friend growing up, so for a long time I really missed having one. For a while my best friend and I called each other (Germany- Hawaii), but we literally gave up on each other, because of the distance. My friends are my family- my whole life revolves around them, but I too wished I had a (best) friend again, too.
You don't happen to live in Hawaii, don't you?

in time you will meet some friends, it takes time for things to get into place when you move to a new place.
in due time, you will meet someone to be friends with , wealthy people are people too, they just have money :)
money doesn't buy friends or happiness.

I know how it is. I had a person who I thought was my best friend and she stabbed me in the back. It is hard to trust. Is there a group in your area that you might can join and get to know someone slowly?
