OMG!!! My parents are being freakin annoying retards they are tryin to ruin my life. I want an 4Gb Ipod Nano (a pink one) for Christmas, and they were like no. Can you believe that? Christmas is the time where you get whatever the hell you want and they wont give this to me to make me happy. Do you think they are being selfish? Everyone has one but me. I KNOW we can afford it and their giving my YOUNGER sister a PS2 for christmas but they wont give me a iPod. When I asked my dad why I cant have one he gave me this long gay *** speech about how he wants to get me somethin that will benefit me and he says he doesnt want me walking down the street with "white cords in my ears looking like an idiot" . ITS NOT FAIR!! I even offered to give up my cell phone to get an iPod,i really really want it, its like all I want for Christmas and they cant just make me happy. Its only $200, if I had a job I would buy it myself but they wont let me work. Is there any way I can get them to buy it for me?

"OMG!! Their Being So Totally Unfair, Their Ruining Your Life! They Should Go Out Right This Second And Buy You Twenty Pink Ipods!" -This Is An Example Of What You Want To Hear...

This Is an Example Of What I Would Have To Say- No "Maybe" About It. Act Less Immature, And Maybe They Wouldn't Be Concerned About You Needing Something To Benefit From. You Sound Like A Selfish Brat. Watch Your Mouth, And Stop Bugging Them About Getting You Your "Precious" Ipod. Which By The Way, A PS2 Is Way Cheaper Then An Ipod, In fact, I Recall Paying 30$ For My Old PS2 When They First Came Out! ... Just So You Know, You Have The Entire Spirit Of Christmas BASS ACKWARDS! Grow Up And Realize That It Isn't All About You.

Another Thing, I Think You Should Spend The Next Three Days Watching Your Sister, And Try And Learn Something From her, She Obviously Knows How To Appeal To Your Parents.

No, christmas isn't about getting whatever the hell you want. They have a reason (even if it's stupid) for not wanting to give you an ipod, so they aren't the ones who are being selfish. If you really want an ipod, getting mad at them will give you less of a chance to get one. Instead, wait a a few days without mentioning it, and then calmly explain other reasons why an ipod can be beneficial, such as the fact that ipods take up a lot less space than a cd player with a bunch of cds, you don't have to worry about scratched cds or not having enough room to store them or losing them becuase you can store all of your music on itunes, ipods hold a lot more music than an mp3 player ever can, ipods don't require batteries (and batteries are not good for the environment, if that will be of any help) etc. Mentioning the fact that they think people wearing ipods on the street look stupid wont be any good, and don't beg them either. If they still say no in the end, don't get mad all over again because then they will think that all of what you have just said was just so you can get your way. Also, please don't use the words retarted or gay in the way you did, it's really offensive.

Wow. I'm sure your parents are definetly attempting to ruin your life by not giving you an IPOD. I don't have an ipod. I don't want an ipod. It sounds like your parents are trying to give you something of worth, something that you might look back on in 10 years and really appreciate it. They're not being selfish about buying you an ipod because it's THEIR money. If I were your mom, I wouldn't give you a damn thing for Christmas. And no, Christmas isn't the time you get "whatever the hell" you want. Christmas is the time for appreciation. Especially of your parents who would probably give you all of their kidneys if you were in need of it.

Grow up sweetie. It's time to be a bit more mature.

First off Christmas isnt the time where you "get whatever the hell you want." I think that its good that they have told you no- b/c it sounds like you are the one being a little selfish. Just think- at least you have a cell phone, a house to live in, shoes on your feet- b/c there are *plenty* of people in this country alone that dont even have those.

Christmas is the time to be *thankful* for what you DO have, and to share with others, and all around just be kind.

Good Lord, you sound and probably act like a spoiled little brat? how the heck old are you anyway? 4? There are children all over the world, most likely some on your own block that dont get anything on christmas, much less a $200 "toy" You want one because everyone else has one? thats dumb! there are homeless people in every city in the nation that wants a nice warm bed to sleep in.. and not because everyone else has one or because its christmas.. but because the ground is cold! Instead of asking for a $200 gadget why dont you ask for something that will help you to give back to others.. like instead of having a job, ask your parents to allow you to work as a volunteer at the food self or salvation army.
Do you think you are entitled to have these things? Cell phones, and ipods? well geuss what? you are not entitled to things like that just because your parents "have the money" sounds like maybe you should try earning these things.. and stop acting so ridiculous. Your parents should buy you counceling sessions for christmas so someone can help you learn about what reality is.

Good luck, and the best peice of advice I can give you is.. .. instead of wasting your time whinning about not getting an Ipod.. why dont you research the true meaning of christmas, get up off your butt and do something nice for someone less fortunate than you!
Merry Christmas Katie, may the spirit of the Lord flood your heart this season and open your eyes to realities of the world outside of ipods and cell phones.

You poor thing! Listen, maybe they won't give you one because of your attitude young lady! How do you know what they can afford? They are the adults. Sweety, you don't know too much about finance and managing money. They obviously know what's good for you, and you should show some respect. Be grateful for whatever you get for Christmas. It's not all about gifts! Some people won't get anything for Christmas, because they're either homeless or have no loved ones. You should be lucky honey. Straighten up that attitude and celebrate Christmas for all the right reasons, and maybe you will get that ipod and more! Merry Christmas!

the guilt trap. when they ask you what you want for christmas(besides an ipod) say "nothing." when they ask you if you are sure, say "as long as my sweet little sister is happy im happy." if they get suspicious, spill the whole story for the 3000th time. it always works for me..................but maybe you should keep a positive attitude. last year the only thing i wanted for christmas was an ipod and my mother told me everytime that all of the stores were out of the really good kinds, and that i might have to wait until after christmas when they get every thing restocked and i was dissappointed but i was like okay mommy. on christmas morning i was excited as anything even though i knew that i wasnt getting what i wanted that day. one of the first presents i opened up was a square box. i didnt even know what the ipod boxes looked like, but something in my heart was telling me to be prepared for a treat. i tore off the wrapping paper and practically screamed. the 60gb ipod video was sitting there in my very own hands. iwas soooooooooo excited. my mother said that she had to lie about teh ipods not being in stock anywhere. i was so happy. and then i was weirded out becuase christmas eve when i went to bed, i had a dream that sitting hidden in teh branches of the christmas tree i was going to open up an ipod video. i must be part phsycic or somthing becuase christmas morning there was a box hidden in the branches of the tree. i pulled it out, read the tag, and opened it up.... wat do ya know! there was my ipod, new as anything. this year i want a pink or blue or black or silver( i don care wat colour) nintendo ds w/ the nintendogs game.

I have a 4Gb nano. It is really useful to listen to when I have nothing to do. If you want one so bad, you should start listening to more music. Then your parents will know you're interested in music. To get my iPod, I told my parents I really like listening to music (which is the truth) and they said ok. Actually, what happened is I got an allowance and earned it myself. If they say you should just settle for a CD Player, then tell them that you have more music than just a CD. If they still won't listen to you, you could get an allowance or walk some dogs and earn enough money to buy your own. Good luck and happy music listening.

1st of all maybe they are going to give it to you but want it to be a suprise... sounds like your parents probable give you everythng you want and when you dont get what you want you say mean things about them. Do you know what Christmas is about? Not receiving toys/.presents but about Jesus being born... we do give gifts to each other because we cant give them to Jesus so we give to each other to show our love just as God gave us His son to show He loves us. I really hope you lighten up and take a look at how much stuff you have gotten from your parents.

If your life will be ruined because you do not had a 4GB Ipod I feel sorry for you. How long will you be happy if you get the Ipod? 2 weeks? Until the next "got to have it item"?

Merry Christmas

Calm down.
Is that any way to talk about your parents?
They want to buy you something useful. Not that an Ipod, or any music player isn't a nice thing to have, but there are many other things that are a better use of money.
Ever think they want to get you a laptop for school work? Or a palm pilot to keep track of stuff? Hey, maybe they are getting you your beloved Ipod and trying to keep it a suprise?
Just be happy you have parents!
