My doctor said to start a week after my last period but I forgot to pick them up. If I start tomorrow, does that mean I will get my pd on a mon three weeks from now? Also, can I start on Friday or Sat, so I'll get my period on the weekend?

Thanks!

(It's Loestren btw)

Tmoney - Please don't jump to conclusions. I'm taking the birth control for painful cramps (which make me pass out and basically force me to lie in bed for a day or two). Since I'm going to start working next year, I can't afford to lose two days like I have been for the past 5 years. Thanks for the advice though. I don't plan on having sex anyways.

when will you get your period deprends on your body. i start mine after 5 days on taking the hormone free pills. others get them on the second day while on the hormone free break or the hormone free pills.
i guess it won't matter when you start, since you are not taking the pills for "birth control". i'm a sunday starter and i always get my withdrawal bleeding by thursday and end at sunday.
i hope this will help you to compute for the days you wanted your period to start. but remember, even taking the same brand, every woman is different.

There are different opinions about this depending on what you're using the birth control for. The best option you have is to call your doctor tomorrow and explain that you've forgotten to pick up your prescription and ask what the best action for you to take is. You can also ask your question about the weekend then.

this sounds weird and isn't what your doctor is going to tell you to do, because they want it more standardized (probably for your reference), but i just start my pills whenever i get them. i don't care if it is a friday and not a sunday or when in my cycle it is.

it will take a little while for the hormones in the pills to work on your body. don't expect the pills to change your cycle the first week you start taking them. it will take at least a cycle or two for you to see your cycle change. taking the pill for a couple of weeks will not change when you're going to have your period if your body is already geared up for a period.

but ask your doctor. s/he is obviously the most informative source, not me. i'm just telling you based on what has happened to me.
