I agree with Princippessa and add that it also depends on whom it is applied.
Your own body may enhance some notes that someone else may cover. Ahh, these bacteriae!

Those colognes are expensive rather than cheap ones so yes to SOME people they will smell good.
Sephora.com has info on the "notes" --the individual scents that make up the fragrance. That will give some indication of how they smell.
The best thing to do would be to go to a store with samples and try it out, then you can see for yourself if you like them or not.
