I am 36 weeks and I am going in for another ultrasound in the morning. My cervices is already opened up and my doctor said I wouldn't go full term so I am wondering if in the ultrasound the see that the baby is already at a good weight and fine, will they induce or strip my membranes?? Has anyone had these done before?

In my case, my big daughter was too big for me when the doctor did an ultrasound. With my daughter being too big, they said that she was running out of amniotic fluid which happens with most big babies. They did induce me the next morning for that reason. If you or the baby is not in any danger, then they may just wait and see what happens. It's better on your body if you go natural, because then your body is ready for it. Good Luck and Congratulations!!

Ultrasounds are notoriously inaccurate for determining babys' weight. They should be checking the fluid and such, but with the weight-it shouldn't be an issue. YOU CAN SAY NO! You don't have to be induced if you don't want to. Especially this early. They should wait until at least 41.5 weeks to induce.

no but it a good thing your cervice has open you just no for a fact you are going to have your baby before new years if you or busy alot and working thats good you are going to have the baby vagina but no you have to want your baby now that when they induce your baby if you want your child born on a certain day but that your choice not the doc plus you might dont want that cause that hurt worse than waiting and having the baby wfull term congradulation i had my son on x-mas merry christmas

If you're progressing well on your own (since your cervix is already opening and such) I hope that they don't induce...it's easier to labor naturally than with an induction, both on you and the baby. Good luck!
