That's the beauty of motherhood- you get to be a kid all over again. This is the first Christmas my daughter has been old enough to really get caught up in the "magic" of it all and it's starting to bring that magic back for me, too.. It's a stressful, hard job but the few moments thrown in where you get to re-live your own childhood through them makes the job worth while.

I'm 48, and the last time I REALLY felt like a kid was last year when my friend Laurie came over and I took her for a walk to the river near our house. It got dark more quickly than i'd expected, and we got lost coming home. It brought me RIGHT back to being a kid.

Last Thursday evening. I go roller skating every Thursday because it's dollar night at Medina Skateland.
For $1 I have two hours when the calendar is reset to 1979.

Yesterday...I was putting together a 3d puzzle, and it was meant for a 5 yr old... i had help, and it took me 4 hours...I learned that I'm not mentally 5 yet...
A total stranger helped me to put it together. I made a new friend :)
Reminded me of going to a new school....

The other day when I was helping my mom do some holiday cooking! It brought back some great memories!
