Mineral makeup is fantastic for your skin. It will not clog your pores. It is dermatologist recommended. It comes in a powder, feels weightless on your skin, and once I tried it I will never wear liquid foundation again. And the minerals are a natural SPF too, which is a nice bonus.

There are a few brands starting to come out with mineral foundation. The one I use is the 4 in 1 Foundation from Pur Minerals. Check out their website at www.purminerals.com

Ugh... I cringe at the Maybelline, Revlon, etc. responses. To each his/her own, but I say stay away from the drugstore, liquid foundation junk-- it is full of nasty chemicals, irritants and preservatives (research the ingreients sometime--it's disturbing). I started using Bare Escentuals about 2 years ago and I will never use anything else ever again. It looks and feels MUCH more natural than liquid foundations (especially if matching your skin tone is tricky) and my skin can still "breathe". It's worth every penny (and lasts a long time too)!

I use BareMinerals and have no problems with clogged pores. I even sleep in my makeup most of the time. It's very healthy for my skin and feels light. It's actually quite affordable as you use hardly any every day, and one pot lasts about a year and costs $25 or even less if you buy the kit with the brushes.

Any of the new minerals foundations are great. They do not clog your pores. Bare minerals is great.

I'd stay away from foundation altogether. I laugh at young girls who try it and they look like a caked-on mess.

Bare Escentuals is good i hear, but it isn't really thick coverage.

If acne is your problem, treat it then you can go foundation-free or use a tinted moisturizer to even out skin tone. Trust me, you'll be happier if you treat your skin problem rather than cover it up.
