My husband had 3 stents put in arteries a week ago. He was sent home with about seven prescriptions, but none of them were anti-biotics. He has been running a low grade fever since day two. When we called the cardiologist, he said that we should worry until his fever reached 101.5 and then we should go immediately to the ER. Has anyone else ever experienced this or know anything about it? Also, incredibly after the procedure and even with blood pressure meds, his bottom number is stayng in the 90s?

Number one problem is infection. I got one after a simple operation and it almost killed me. I had to spend three months in the hospital to recover. Nothing to fool around with - go to the hospital if it continues.
