OMG!!! My parents are being freakin annoying retards they are tryin to ruin my life. I want an 4Gb Ipod Nano (a pink one) for Christmas, and they were like no. Can you believe that? Christmas is the time where you get whatever the hell you want and they wont give this to me to make me happy. Do you think they are being selfish? Everyone has one but me. I KNOW we can afford it and their giving my YOUNGER sister a PS2 for christmas but they wont give me a iPod. When I asked my dad why I cant have one he gave me this long gay *** speech about how he wants to get me somethin that will benefit me and he says he doesnt want me walking down the street with "white cords in my ears looking like an idiot" . ITS NOT FAIR!! I even offered to give up my cell phone to get an iPod,i really really want it, its like all I want for Christmas and they cant just make me happy. Its only $200, if I had a job I would buy it myself but they wont let me work. Is there any way I can get them to buy it for me?

First off, they are not trying to ruin your life
Secondly, they are not mentally retarded, and it is offensive to actually mentally retarded people to say that
Thirdly, do not curse, or at least use poor replacements for cursing

As I am done with finding faults, some things that might help are to suck up to them- meaning no more rotten child, actually work for it by doing chores, even if they are not aksed, buying your family presents, and appreciating your life.
Normally I hate it when people say think of the poor starving children and go volunteer at a homeless center, but my god do you need to.

WOW!!! that is the most selfish thing i have ever heard in my life. be grateful for what you get--there are some kids out there who won't get any christmas presents at all--they would be f u c k i n g happy to get anything at all. You need to grow up and realize that the world doesnt't revolve around you and that you don't always get what you want. It won't ruin your life and if a stupid IPOD is the only thing that will make you happy then you are really shallow. I like the part of its only $200---do you know what i would do with an extra $200 just lying around?--i could pay my insurance, my car payment or a quarter of my rent--to some people $200 is a lot of money. First of all, please be more considerate. The way you are using the terms "retard" and "gay" are really offensive, inappropriate, and appalling.
Secondly, life isn't fair. People don't always get what they want. That's reality. If you don't learn to deal with it now, you're going to have trouble later on.
And Christmas is NOT the time when "you get whatever the hell you want." It's a time of giving. It's a time of sharing. It's a time of letting others know you care. Apparently, you don't have the first idea of what Christmas really is. Sure, your parents might be thinking unreasonably, but you're just being ridiculous. Apologize to them. Maybe then they'll feel pity and even consider your precious iPod for you.
As spoiled as you are, I recommend you this: Make an agreement with your parents. For example, have them get you an ipod if you get good grades the next time report cards get sent out. Maybe then, you'll just barely deserve it.
Oh. And if it takes an iPod to make you happy, you are one materialistic ingrate who is so short-sighted and narrow-minded that you can't find anything to be thankful for when they are right before your eyes. For example, be thankful that you have a life, thanks to your parents. Be thankful that you have a family to spend your holidays with. Be thankful that your parents haven't disowned you.

I think your dad's been quite kind and diplomatic. If you had been my daughter I would have said you can't have it because you are a whining spoilt little brat who doesn't appreciate the value of anything and if you think not getting a pink ipod for christmas is going to ruin your life then you really are an idiot and so it probably doesn't matter much if you look like one.

I'm sorry that you're so upset, and it does seem like there is a double standard, however, my dear, I must say that you AND your sister are a bit spoiled. The argument that EVERYONE has one is illegitimate and never would fly in my family. As for the job part, truly good for you if you'd buy it yourself, but there must be a reason your parents won't let you get a job....I wonder how old you are, your grades, etc. Good luck, there is life beyond iPod.

heyy there, firstly about that IPOD---everything rbeaks. get an mp3 player instead. and i have one insteadof an IPOD and i'll say that it's waay better. the IIPOD earphones are even worse than regural earphones ebcause they damage your hearing farther. i am 14 btw. not a parent. ask them for updating ur cellphone 2 one of ur choice mayb with an mp3 player. also....it is sucha waste fo money if u want an ipod cuz its popular...get real...money has its value. first go about thsi in an organized manner. make a list of your requirements for w/e you want. RESEARch for the product with such specifications. Don't alter your specifications just tog et teh popular product...find the product with what you need. then research and if u can show this 2 u parents they know that you've done your homework and adds to your resposibility thing. try it seriosuly even tho it sounds like a lot of work. i got mine like that so it wurked for me.

Let's just say you really take the Christ out of Christmas. Go to Church and find out why we have Christmas in the first place. God gave us the gift of His Son Jesus Christ, that is why we have Christmas if you don't believe in Him, then you shouldn't celebrate it in the first place. If you did believe In Him you wouldn't want anything for Christmas you would want to give not get. I will pray for you not to get what you want but to get the truth of Christmas.
