both. they wanted to create an amazing gaming experience as well as money for the ps4...coming out in a few years. my dad works for them

For your question depend on people. Xbox fan will said X Will win.
But for me i prefer PlayStation. For my opinion They make PS3 because PS2 already outdated hardware. They need a more power full hardware for the game developerr to develope better and nicer game. If they stick to PS2 probelly they game cannot go to the next level in gaming industry. PS3 got blue ray disk drive so they can make they blue ray more popular in movie DVD when compete with other company. So I think is one stone hit 2 bird strategy. That all i have to said.
