Overclocking is a technique whose time has come and gone. Modern processors are so fast that there is no need to do so; the only thing you would accomplish is the processor taking more spin cycles waiting for memory fetches. Also, it would increase the heat generated, which is already a significant problem, and you could fry the machine. Bottom line: don't do it. If you want more speed, add more RAM or get a faster disk drive.

That depends on your motherboard. Some MB's make it easier than others to overclock your processor. I have found that Gigabyte makes boards that are very easy to overclock.

Your biggest problem will be heat dissipation. Don't think that the dinky little fan and heatsink that came with the processor will do the job. You will end up frying your expensive Athlon 64.

Check into some aftermarket heat solutions. Some of the more advanced (and pricey) include heat pipe technology.

now why do you want over clock a 64 3300 plus CPU.. have you no brains at all?.. here is the reason I'm asking this question,
NO GAMES HAVE YET BEEN WROTE FOR THE 64 BIT PROCESSOR they are all written for the 32 bit processors

now the 32 bit games will run on the 64 bit processors at 32 bit system. so you see over clocking will do you no good what so ever it will still run at 32,bit, plus the fact is you can only safely get another 3% out of it..... not worth the risk unless you want to buy another MB and Processor cause you had a melt down
