I'm American and she is from Peru, she came here three years ago
She loves me and I love her,, so you would think that we would at least stay together for a whie but here is the problem
her family which are all illegal immigrants are ignorant towards Americans,, not all but some like her sister in law
this is her best friend, but she will tell my girlfriend bad things about me and the problems with stupid gringos, If I ask my girlfriend to come out with me,,she will have to tell the women, and she will always say,,,what with that stupid,,boring gringo
she and a few others are really trying to manipulate her into breaking up with me,,,,,Im tall and good looking,, so maybey it is becuase they are jealous I don't know,,but they have a lot of influence over her,,and it really bothers me
I brought it uo once to my girlfriend and she said that these are her best frinds and she takes what they say seriously

First of all, if her family is here illegally and are ignorant towards Americans then why are they here? Maybe they should go back to where they came from. Secondly, I would go with your heart. If you love her pursue the relationship. If she loves you she should not listen to everyone else and trust her own judgement. Like I said, if they do not like stupid gringos then go the !@#$ back to Peru.

It's different when the racism issue is turned on you isnt it? Yes.. racism sucks. We're all the same, white,black,yellow,brown,pink,green, who cares. It seems to me you think you're a pretty jealousy worthy guy without being conceited. Well prove it to the best friends that have influence on her just what kind of person you are. Dont let them break your relationship with stereotypical remarks. If you love this girl... dont give up. You'll get through this. Good luck :]

Let her go. It hurts but if she can be so easily manipulated she isn't worth it.
As an outsider there isn't alot you can do. If her family doesn't want to assimilate into american culture and they don't want her to, there's not alot you can do.
You have to surround urself with people that are going to keep healthy relationships with you.
It's not fair that the people around you two are keeping that from happening but life isn't fair and you just have to deal with it.
Move on.

meet her friends. Actions speak louder than words. Respect is a MAJOR thing with Latin people. Take it slow and don't sneak around. Good Luck. If it was ment to happen, it will.
