ok, i have a 1995 porsche 968 cabrio and some ****** crashed into me and totaled me. i had ALOT of aftermarket parts on it some that i cant replace it with new ones but is there a way for me to keep the car and or parts because the other insurance company said that after i get the check they will kep the car??

You can ask if you can buy it back and they will deduct the amount from your payment.

Otherwise, they should either pay you for the aftermarket items, or let you take them off. Some companies will require you to put the factory items back on when removing aftermarket items.

you can always do a buy back option, they just take the approximate value off the check and then you can keep the car.

I had a client with an old '80 Chrysler, he got rear ended and dented the bumper, the insurance was conciderign the car a write off because it was going to cost more to fix then the car was worth, so he did the buy back option and ended up with a $400 check, and drove the car as is. it was the other guys insurance paying for it, he made out ok.

you can keep the aftermarket items.....like if you put an aftermarket grille on you can take off as long as you replace it with the original one or another one....same as radio or wheels, car alarm.

No, the check they are giving you is paying for the car. I think the only way to keep your car is to not take the check.
