this actually sounds very familiar...something i had...pelvic infection(PID)...

....you can read up on it there...but me and my boyfriend were really scared and i went to the doctor and they gave me antibiotics, told me to lay off the sex for awhile, and rest....

but yeah..i couldn't sit up straight, it was very swollen in my lower stomach...and every time i had sex it would hurt even more....

although you might have a hernia on your hands...go to the doctor anyway if it keeps on hurting...better to be safe than sorry..hope she gets to feeling better....

If it is a hernia, something should be protruding out. Take her to a doctor if it keeps going. Also maybe give her some ibuprofen and a heating pad to relax it. Since it's swollen, it may be a sign of a hernia or even something broken.

Lower abdominal pains can have various causes from hernia or pelvic infections, to appendicitis or trapped gas. Only a doctor can tell you what is going on.
