In order to have inventory to sell, they have to buy it. Keep in mind that they are in business to make a profit and they buy cheap and sell high. Best advice is to take several digital pictures of your items, including close ups of markings, and have them make you an offer. You might also want to see what the same items might have sold for in the past on e-bay.

They will buy china if they don't have a large stock of a specific pattern. It has to be in perfect condition though. Occasionally they will buy a piece with a slight flaw. If there is gold plating on it, they will not buy it if it shows much wear. I don't know if they will buy anything silver plated. I do know it is a lot easier to buy from them than to sell to them.
