My main concern now is Christianity, not history. I know a good Christian man, whom I co-pastored under, but became ill. During his illness a bad clique worked against him, actually trying and almost taking control of the church from him.

Fortunately, they are gone now, and we can re-start the church. We have a prospective building, praise the Lord, with low rent. I just need some income to assure us of getting through. I was wondering what menial work readers might suggest for a man of 50, lacking in computer skills or mechanical ability. It would be part-time. Fast foods, which I mentioned in an earlier posting, is a consideration, as well as possibly Wal Mart.

I still have other liabilities, fear of registers, and could not work until after l p.m. on Sun.

Suggestions, particularly from people who have worked in fast food places and Wal Mart, would especially be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Rev. Dr. Glen

I would suggest reading Professor Dawkins book THE GOD DELUSION before you try yet again to make a church that is not a cult. All churches are cults.

Never. I've worked in jobs that are considered to be menial, and I'm not ashamed to admit it either. I believe every job serves a purpose for the greater good of others (I don't know where I'd be without the small convenience shop to buy essentals at times where the big stores are shut for the day) and none has the right to look down on people who work lower paid jobs.

Why not tutor students after school or work with parents of homeschooled children to insure their lesson plans are up to grade level? You can work with individuals or small groups of students and make alot more than you can make at Walmart or in a fast food restaurant. As long as you enjoy what you do for part-time work, nothing is beneath you; however, you'll make more money working for yourself than working for someone else. Consider running a non-profit organization under a grant in which you can continue to do more of the Lord's work.

invest money or do some charity drives all depending on your time frame as a man of 50 i dont think you would have the patience for a place like walmart where customers and employees alike are stupid and ignorant my sudgestion would be prolly to find some demeaning job if your that hard pressed but seriously consider investing it could definetly be a good way to have extra income in hard times when money comes tight i realize times can be tough and i will never freely encourage to be a wallmart employee but hey if your that hard pressed suck up the pride and givr

I've found this web site that pays you to complete offers and take online surveys. There are lots of sites like it but this one works best for me. Maybe it'll work for you, too.

This is NOT a pyramid scheme and it is 100% legit. I wouldn't suggest it as a means of funding church projects otherwise.
