Im a senior on my high school basketball team, and i receive absolutely no playing time. When i deserve some, instead the coach plays his son, and another underclassmen who I am both better than, it makes no sense to me.

I feel i should quit, or let the coach who should be playing. By this in practice i would foul the coach's son very hard. It just pisses me off that i work my *** off for 4 years and the coach doesnt play me, he wants to get ready for next season it seems.

Should I quit or what?

Here are some ideas:
-Tell the coach straight up. Say this, "Iv been playing for 4 years and I think I should get some more playing time. I can help our ball-team out give me a shot."
-Say to him "If you dont play me much next game I'll quit. Not because im a quitter, but this is my senior year and I think I should play, and I dont want to waste my time on not playing during the last years I have with all my friends."
-Quit, transfer to a high school who sucks at basketball that plays your current team and drop 81 on there ***.
-The last few minutes when you play light up the scoreboard and show the coach what you got!

Let the coach become aware of your frustrations. Don't give up! Hang in there. At least you will have the reputation of stickng it out. Use the practice sessions to your advantage. Show what you can do, your coach and/or team mates will have to take notice of your talents. If you can show that you can help "Win", they will want you to play more time.
They want winners.
Good Luck!

the same thing happened to me in high school. every game i played the last 5 minutes of the games. it upset me when the starters would come in late to practice and goof off and still play the whole game. i didn't quit. sometimes i wish i did but, once a quitter always a quitter. if you tell him what you think it may get better but he may think you are a crybabby. I would stick it out. you did it for three years and why quit now.

Don't quit just continue to sit the bench and watch the game Look at it like this, you have the best view of the game.

i agree ^ youve worked hard for 4 years and your on the bench? seniority has the word senior in it thus you should get the most playing time

No. Work as hard as possible, and when you get farther than his son does in basketball, then that'll be a big-time slap-in-the-face. It happened to me, and trust me, it'll work... God Bless.
