Since we can't get rid of Christmas in the near future...?

What would you throw out and what would you keep?

Any additions?

I would keep: family gathering, acts of kindness, gratitude and spiritual awareness. I would like to lose: greedy expectations, commercialism, and self centeredness.

What good would come from "getting rid of Christmas"? It is up to you to celebrate or not. This is like saying 'we are getting rid of your birthday'. Makes no since. Why would I care if anyone celebrated your birthday?
