I am buying the Sims 2 holiday edition for Christmas and I've been waiting until the prices dropped to get an expansion pack. I am torn between University and Nightlife. I really, really wanted University when it first came out, however I'm not sure it adds that much to the game. I'm only getting one at a time and so I was wondering if anybody who had them both could tell me which one to get?

You should get both if you can, but since you could only get one...

University gives you...
A new life stage - Young Adult for people who go to University
More careers and career awards (two of which are fun)
Zombies
Lifetime Aspiration Goals which give you permanent platinum aspiration.

Nightlife gives you...
Cars - perfect if you want to go to work on your own or joyriding
Ability to go on dates
Vampires

If you have ever played with the original Sims, Nightlife is pretty much just like Hot Date except for the vampires.

I would definitely go for Nightlife, at the very least. The core game doesn't run well on my computer but I wish it did as I would love to get the expansion. I always like to build a big mansion for my sims to live in and the expansion can let me turn them into vampires. Perfect I can have a whole family of them. Would be a bit tricky though since they die when exposed to sunlight.
