It is true they have been talking about that, and even if they don't get everyone together they said they would like to do a reunion with even just them. Hopefully they do, I'd like to see a reunion.
I think they stopped making episodes because they wanted to end on a high note, when the show was still popular and they had good storylines. kind of go out when things are good instead of fizzle out as a crappy show

I think that the decision to stop making new episodes of Friends was in part because the actors were ready to be done, and also, becuase they wanted the show to go out while it was still popular. There is nothing worse than an awesome show going a season too long and ruining it. While i miss the show, and friends is my all-time favorite show, i feel that it ended at an appropriate time. With that being said, i am torn on the issue of a reunion. I agree with a previous poster, i think it is too early for a reunion, but i would not be opposed to having an hour long thanksgiving or chirstmas reunion. Because of the way the show ended, i feels its possible to have a reunion show, because it seems that everyone when in different directions, character-wise. So i feel it would be interesting to almost get a recap of the last few years, however, i think it should be more like 5-10 years after the ending of the show.

Although the "ending while still popular" is true, I'm sure, the main reason the show ended was because it was getting too expensive to produce. The actor's knew that they would be able to make a lot of money, because the show was so popular. By the time it was done, each of the six main characters was making over 1 million dollars per episode.
This isn't to say that I blame them for trying to get the money out of the show. I would have done the same thing. But I agree with many of the other people here, the show ended at the right time. Any longer and it would have either burned out or just gotten old. If they are planning a reunion, they should def wait longer.

I'm sorry that the show was too over your head last answerer! Well, I think that they wanted to stop the show so that some actors/actresses could start to work on other things like movies. I love the show Friends, but I do not want to see a reunion.......yet. Especially if they do it with only a few of the characters. The show just ended...........it's WAY too early for a reunion.

Yeah, a friends reunion would be awesome, but i reckon one thing holding them back is that Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) is 43!!!
Another reason is that Friends was about dating and relationships, but now it wouldn't be about that:
Monica & Chandler are married
Ross & Rachel got back together
Pheobe is married and as for Joey.....
The last reason i would say friends is definitely not coming back is because they already had a spin-off.

shhhhh - we sure hope not - I have tried and tried and tried to watch one single episode of "friends" all the way through. The best part - to me - was the commercial break from the innane stupidity and poor acting. Sorry to rain on your show - but some of us just did not get it.
