i know it was to do with charlies son but why?

His son was rude to josh and ran away from him.As he ran , the boy fell and hurt himself and told his dad josh hit him.Everyone believes the boy.

He told his dad that Josh hit him and like an idiot he believed him, doesn't matter that they have been friends for donkeys years, if I remember rightly Josh saved Charlie from going to prison when he was accused of kerb crawling! even the rest of the staff at the hospital believe the little 'brat', if nurses and doctors can't 'read' someone (and they do 99.9% of the time), they would be treating people left right and centre for all manner of things that people make up to get attention, so you would think that with the amount of staff milling around the A&E that A/someone else would have witnessed what happened, and B/Someone would be able to tell that the little brat was lying!!
