YES!!! Any pig turned back into the wild will revert back to being a wild pig. It will grow the tusks back. This was told in a Discovery Channel program about "Hogzilla" it was supposed to be a wild pig weighing in at 1000 lbs and nearly as long as a car. The picture of the hog made it all over the world via Internet and was proven false. Anyway domestic pigs will revert back.

The boars in the next generation, from the pigs that were turned loose, would certainly have tusks. When piglets are born on the farm, within hours of their birth, they are given innoculations and the canine teeth are pulled to prevent them from hurting each other in their confined space.
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigs
"Pigs have a full set of 44 teeth. The canine teeth, called tusks, grow continually and become very sharp by the lowers and uppers rubbing against each other."
If there wasn't a farmer around to pull those canine teeth at birth, then these teeth would form the tusks.

Not sure about domestic farm pigs, but I know pot bellied pigs will. I work for a vet and we regularly trim hooves and tusks on pot bellied pigs. I believe tusks have been "bred out" of domestic pigs.

ween he was a baby pig he probable had his needle teeth cut and that will not let him or her grow tusk. that keeps the pig from growing tusk and her-ting other pigs but if they wear not cut he or she would grow them.

Do you think that if you go live in the wild you will grow hair all over your body and develop the ability to sense danger ?
