Try and work with him on rolling over. Kind of like exercising with your child. He will get the hang of it. The biggest part of rolling over is having the ability to pushing his head up with his arms when lying flat on the floor.

I don't know kilos versus pounds , but it's about right for a baby to double their birthweight by 6 months, and triple it by 12, so I don't think he's overweight.

200 mls is a little more than 6 ounces, and it seems like that is too much formula, to me. My son is doing 6 ounce bottles and he is 10 months. He usually only drinks 3, sometimes 4 a day, and eats regular food and baby food otherwise.

Perhaps he just doesn't think it would be interesting to roll over? Try placing him on his belly underneath of one of those baby gyms and rattle the toys above his head. He might want to roll over to see them better.

My son shocked us all by rolling over at exactly 1 month. And then he didn't do it again until 3 months. Everything came a little bit early with him.

My very best advice would be to discuss your concerns with his doctor. The next well-baby visit should be coming up at 6 months, so talk about it them. Unless the doctor is concerned, your son is probably just fine.

Good luck!

i would get medical advice from people who are well versed in such areas

my son who is now a bright 8yo rolled over on purpose for the first time when he was 8 months old

babies do vary in the age they do things - they too are individuals - but if you have had other problems with him prior to that then a professional can help put your mind at rest

all babies don't roll over at the same time. Give it a little bit. He will roll when he is ready to. My son rolled over at 4 months old, crawled at 10 months and finally finally walked at 16 months. They all do things there own way. I wouldn't worry about it.

my bub is also on the larger side and didn't roll till about 7 months. when i had a six month checkup for her, the nurse told me that it is really only a concern if they get to nine months and cannot roll yet, so don't worry. he will do it in his own time. you can do exercises to help, when he is lying on his back, hold his leg and gently move it across the other leg to help him get the idea, then the other side.

its probably ok.. i am getting a degree in child development and the 1st thing we learned is every child is different, thats the biggest concern of parents, dont compare your baby to other children, to get reassurance go ahead and talk to your pediatrician, but i dont think you have anything to worry about. good luck!!

Your child is overweight and can't move. Like adults. How about some mushed veggies and water? And some excerise!! Go figure!

That is kind of odd, but sometimes bigger babies have a harder time doing things because they have more weight to move around.
