In September I set up a website aimed at getting some kitties that lived on the street near my place into homes with live streaming video of kitties needing homes 24 hours a day. I can't afford any more time off work and can't keep all them & need people to help me as I've already taken over 3 months off for the project and really need to get some of these kitties homes! http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
This project has now cost me thousands of dollars and many months off work, and I can't understand why no one will help me. Please help if you can. It never even occurred to me that NOBODY else would care enough to help.
Please don't post negative things like bringing them to a shelter...I am rehoming them whether you like it or not! And the rescue groups have helped as much as they can.
I have already adopted 8 myself, and really need help with the other 12!
And don't bother with craigs list, ads in papers, pet shops vet etc...I'm not stupid! Lol.
Thanks

You say you're not stupid, and yet you've spent "thousands" of dollars and intend to continue bankrupting yourself over stray cats that ought to be euthanized.

People who "like cats' mostly all have cats of their own, maybe as many as they can afford to care for, so they might not want to add another.

Semi-feral stray animals don't always make the best cuddly pets.

A pair of stray cats can have dozens of babies, which means that supply is always going to outpace demand.

But the most likely answer could just be that no one knows about your website. You have to pay to get listed on Google or Yahoo, or pay for banner ads that millions of people will have to see in order to get 100 people to visit the website.

I pray that since you are determined not to see reason, that at least you are spaying and neutering the little monsters. You'll never be rid of the problem if they keep making more.

I suppose you have already figured out that because of irresponsible people dumping cats and or not getting spays and neuters done , there are far more kitties than there are homes. As much as I love them, the two I have are all I can have right now. I wish you the best of luck. I don't know where you live and I'm not going to your website because it would probably break my heart and there would still be nothing I could do to change things for you. Throwing money at a problem is often the same as throwing it away.

With the experience and organization to be had at reliable shelters, and they still can't find homes for them all, even with the volunteer services they get from vets, food donations, etc, you were very generous to try to go it alone,(and maybe a bit foolish) but bless you for putting it out there. I hope you can take satisfaction from what success you have had.

you won't ever be able to do what you feel you ought to.

adoptions are a lot of work and money, and you will not get your money back. Everyone I know who does cat adooptions has foster parents that volunteer thier homes to strays until an owner can be found.

look into becomming a non-profit charity and then go to Petco and Petsmart to have your pets put on display for adoption.

Then get the hell out.

if you want to help, donate to well founded, well staffed, knowledgable adoption charities that will do the work for you.

also, there are some agencies that will pay for the vet fee if you become a foster and care for the cats until they have homes.

sorry to be a downer, and what you are trying to do is great, but sadly, the way you are going about it is wrong.

I think it's wonderful that you have taken this project on, but unfortunately, with the number of pets in humane societies, pounds, and loose on the street, did you think that people would jump out of the woodwork to adopt? I hate to say it, but you took on the responsibility of them, and should have had a plan for this. I wish I could help out, unfortunately, I have taken in what I can easily afford (cat, dog and 2 horses, all "rescues"...).

i do no longer remember the place I examine it, yet a great style of the cats you notice interior the Harry Potter video clips got here from shelters. So possibly a visit on your interior of reach animal shelter and you will locate the purrfect cat !
