Cats are willing to get the paws wet to provide them self with a meal. And cats in the wild would rarely eat fish. Small animals are more likely prey.

Cats like water just fine. Domestic cats are not raised to like water, so they don't. I have had cats who liked water just fine! Even had one who would not leave my tub when I took a bath, always wanted to get in ....

regular cats are afraid of water . Wild Cats arent so much . They could stand at the edge of deep water and use their paws for catching.

Where there is a will there is a way!! Cats do stick their paws in the water. I think most cats prefer birds...

probably when the fish comes up for air or just comes to the top of the water, the cat slaps the fish out of the water..
