well if you do something dongeons and dragons style, that would most likely go over good. Go get a RPG game module at a book store, read it through, make up an unlikely set of heros, put them in that setting and create the story from there. That is a formula that has worked brilliantly for several authors..... I'm thinking of Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman. They did the dragonlance quadrillogy that way with a group of friends. um...you could try eragon, or Tracy Hickam books, or cirque du freak books, or the lord of the rings series.
