I would prefer for pc but ffxII is not out for pc yet. And I haven't played any final fantasy game before.

FFXI is a Massive Multiplayer online RPG
FFXII is a Real time RPG
Neither of these games are your typical Final Fantasy game (Turn based RPG) that we all have come to love and admire. You can play both of these games and still have a good time, but I would still look back to some of the earlier Final Fantasies (maybe FFX) for some more traditional action.
Word of warning FFXI has a subsription fee of $12.99 (or $12.95 I forget) and $1 for each additional character. Your initial $12.99 is covered by the purchase of the game but after that first month you will need to pay the subription fee on the first of the next month. -- The prices are in USD --

Final fantasy XII is amazing. I recommend this highly. Have fun!
