It's hard to answer without more info. But if you have a newborn, chances are you just have a sleepy baby. My 1st son was a sleepy baby. He'd sleep 4-5 hours at a time, barely nurse, had a hard time with latch on. But with a little work to establish nursing, I nursed him for 5 1/2 months.
If you have an older baby who is now refusing the breast, could be many things--getting your 1st period, eating a new/spicy food, maybe baby has developed thrush.
I seriously doubt your baby hates breastmilk. Nursing is hard work. It can take 8 weeks to establish a good nursing relationship with your child (longer if you have major issues early on) but it is well worth the effort.
I'm still working on establishing a good breastfeeding relationship with my 1 month old son. He had latch problems and we've been battleing thrush for the past 2 1/2 weeks. But I know it is what is best for my child.
Breatfeeding reduces your child risk of dying from SIDS, reduces his chance of getting Crohns disease, diabetes, lukemia and other cancers. It also reduces your risk of getting breast cancer. It reduces baby risk of being obese. Reduces risk of ear infections and respritory infections. Builds baby's immunity. And--scientific fact--breastfeeding can increase your child's IQ by 10 points!

No. If he doesn't want your breastmilk, get some formula for him. Make sure it meets his standards, like if he has thalmacemia (don't know how to spell it) minor or something, make sure you get some without iron and stuff like that. That is just an example, though.
If he won't take breastmilk, get formula.

NO!! Never force feed your baby!! If you are having trouble getting him to eat the best thing for you to do is talk to a public health nurse, or your family Dr.

What do you mean hates breastmilk? Can you be more specific?

i never had a problem nursing my children but some people say that babies won't take to breast milk if the mother eats things that cause the milk to taste bad... like garlic, onions, broccoli, etc. you need to call your pediatrician and get help as soon as possible. good luck.

Try it one more time.If your baby don't take it then go to the doctors and ask what can you do.

how do you force him if he doesnt like it? a baby doesnt know better and probably wont drink it. try a different alternative
