Calm down. A certain measure of selfishness and narcissism is natural.
But if you think you're overly selfish and narcissistic, then try living without some of the material things that you've been taking for granted. For example, lock up your MP3 player and your skateboard and your other cool stuff (say, in a safety deposit box, with the key in the hands of someone you trust); whittle your wardrobe down to half-a-dozen simple outfits;cut up your credit card; and ignore billboards and tv commercials. Give this a try for about six months. It should change the way you see the world, and yourself.
Good luck.

It is very hard to participate in society without some possessions. You can't hang out here with us without your computer. You can't work in the next town without a car. It is not realistic, in my opinion to not want possessions (even my aunt the nun had a computer and stereo) but it is reasonable to set limits for ourselves.
If you have plenty of money, then you need to limit the money you spend, maybe by putting some into a savings or christmas/vacation club fund (you can't withdraw these early, like regular savings). Then you will have a nest egg that you can add to and see positive results there.
Only get what you need and only upgrade when you have to (that means using your current tv until it breaks, not just getting the latest aqua screen cause it's cool). You can do it!
Peace! xoxo!

Volunteer somewhere! It'll help a lot more than you think. Volunteer at a homeless shelter, maybe. Just get out and do something for people who truly need help. Seeing the joy that you can bring to them will really make you realize that material things aren't as important.
Even if you don't volunteer, just do things to help people. Maybe you should even learn to medidate! It's an amazingly healthy thing, mentally.
So yeah, my advice is to help other people and give them your time. Helping less fortunate people will be a great experience, and it'll truly change your outlook on material possesions.
Good luck! I'm glad you want to change!! :)

the only time you point out love is 'loving mothers and fathers' do you adore one yet another? in case you do you could artwork it out yet whilst there is not any love there it counselling wont artwork - do you would be able to desire to make it artwork? seek advice from him no longer us yet why is he turning out to be a Jerk? is there the different concern that he isn't telling you approximately? If there is not any love there do no longer stay mutually for the reason which you have a baby because of the fact issues will in basic terms worsen.

You don't need to figure out how to be happy without possesions you just need to figure out how to have possesions without feeling guilty.
People who are happy tend to remain that way whether they have material possesions or not. If you arn't happy now you won't be happy after you give your stuff away. Then you will be unhappy and you won't have any good stuff.

Keep what you need not what you want. Give more to others and take less for yourself.
