to those who have read "boy meets girl " by joshua harris..how do you asses it's value?

I used to hate Joshua Harris. His previous book (I Kissed Dating Goodbye) was horrible. It was too extremist and people took everything he said literally. It started a spiral effect of people afraid to date.

"Boy Meets Girl" tried to rectify the situation. He saw how many people were taking his book too seriously and the negative effects of it. He justifies his previous claims, but couches them by saying to take everything with a grain of salt. He even gives his own life example of taking his own advice too seriously and how it backfired on him.

As with any Christian book, be wary of how much importance to give it. If you're trying to live a Christian life, the Bible is the only thing that you should be changing your life over. These other books are great guides, but should not be considered scripture by any means.
