Most definitely! The only people who would say no are Sony Fanboy's. I had a Ps3 and I have a Xbox 360 put side to side there is no difference in the graphics's, that was Sony hype. An I wasn't impressed with the PS3 at all, so guess what? I took it back to Wal Mart an now only use my 360 so save yourself $200 go get a 360 which the premium one comes with the HD cables by the way PS3 doesn't an when your friends yack at how wonderful or how much better the PS3 is just remember fan boyism is a disease!

I think it is crazy that they have made the prices of the PS3 so high. It is sad for the children which is mainly who is really going to be wanting the systems anyway. The kids that do get these wont even appreciate them anyway, 650.00 is way too much for a game system for a child. Well if you want one next year there will be something new out and this system will be at least 1 or 2 hundred dollars cheaper.

Yes it is too much but it doesn't have to be. Sony only makes it so expensive because they know that the consumer will still buy it. More than likely it only costs 100-200 dollars a machine to actually make the ps3

As a games console it is too expensive but as a Blu-Ray player it is cheap.

Sony are losing at least $200 on each console sold in the US and even more on those sold in Japan. They are counting on the production costs coming down and making the money back on sales of games.

It is definitely very expensive. The games itself are selling for about $60. >.<" I'd say wait a year or more before you actually go out and buy it during its initial release. Plus, you can buy it without having to check stores to see if they're in stock or buy it online :)
