Saying that people can chose their sexuality is stupid. As far back as scientists can track(which is pretty far) homosexuality has been charted at 5 to 10% of the population of both humans and other animals, which suggests that homosexuality is has something to do with DNA. And anyway, gays are persecuted so much, why would anyone chose to be gay?

It is exactly as easy as it is for a straight person to "decide" to be attracted to someone of their gender. The "again" at the end of your question suggests that you think gay people were straight to start with and chose to be gay. There are very few people who would choose to have rocks thrown at them.
Did you know that it is possible, easy really, to manufacture a homosexual rat or mouse. And it happens in cows naturally all the time with multiple births. It makes sense that if a heterosexual's orientation is hard wired like most cows and such, that if we can make gay animals that gay people must be made gay too.

While there is no definitive answer, the one I have heard the most is that it is neither. Your sexuality really develops between birth and age 2. The amounts of estrogen or testosterone in your system along with events the occur during that time determine it. It is NOT the person's choice, but there in no scientific evidence it is from birth either.

It is nature's way of saying we are over breeding this planet.
It is natural selection; in the old days population was kept in balance by disease and war and shortages...we have almost eliminated all of those so our natures are evolving to compensate.

All human sexuality is within us at birth. We can not choose this any more than we can choose eye color.
