My husband promised that he would stop hitting me when we move from Bagdad to the US?

Think about your question!!!! of course you can lose your baby..as a matter of fact..if he hits you hard enough...you could lose your life!!!

You've already made the first good decision and moved away. Just keep your distance. He is not trust worthy, and has left you to play around with new women. He sabatoged your marriage (has no respect for marriage) and is a very selfish man; soon he will get tired of the other lady. Enjoy life with new baby and the joy it brings, you don't need the stress of this man. Also, if he has anger control issues you would never want him alone with the baby. A crying baby may push him over the edge. It is good that he is in counseling, but these things take a long long time, he is not going to be "changed" over night. You seem like a strong intelligent women just continue what your doing, having a new life. You have been thru a lot of pain. TIme for your healing.

Firstly you need to think hard about staying with your husband if he is hitting you, pregnant or not. It is hard to do, but think of the baby and what it will go through watching your husband hit you as he/she grows up. I went trough it with my parents and I would not wish it on any other child to have to watch or see there dad hit there mum.
If you are hit and fall to the floor it may cause serious damage to the baby... even more so if he hits you in the stomach area. Dont wait for it to be too late and get out of there before he starts hitting a poor inacent baby....

Any unnecessary stress could cause you to loose your unborn child; let alone having your husband hit you. You somehow need to get away from that environment as quickly as possible. Try contacting a local battered women shelter in the area that you are moving to.

Yes, you could lose your pregnancy, and the whole thing about stop hitting you... BULLSH-IT! Why not stop hitting you now? Why wait? Get away from him, now or soon. He will cause you to lose your pregnancy and will probably end up seriously hurting you. Find some help.
There is no reason for him to stop hitting you when you two get to the US except for the fact that family (either side) will find out. Please get away from him. Try getting on an earlier flight than you were scheduled or something. Just get help!

Most deffinitly. And if you are worried enough to even ask that question you need to leave him. I had a still birth at 5 1/2 months due to a man hitting me. You need to think about you and that baby. Get away from him.

Yes, u can lose your baby and if u don't he/she may be born with serious birth defects. The best thing for u to do is get away from your husband. He is a worthless piece of crap with no respect for women or the life of a child. Whatever the situation may be you need to get awa from him. Get some help. I've been through it and if you love your unborn child this should not be a difficult decision. Get away from him.

gurl you do not need to let him hit you and you can loose your baby quicker than anything and the stress alone can make you miss carrage and also do you really want a man hitting you with your child around your kid might think that is what they are suppose to do. you need to think for you and your baby's safety and really it comes down to him or your child. personally i would choose my child whether i loved him with all my heart i would never let a man take advantage of me like that b/c i know somebody that was in this same situation and it doesnt stop and she did miscarrage.

most definitely you can loose the baby. You need to report the abuse and get it to stop. this is not an environment you want to raise a child in. Just because he's "the man" doesn't give him the right to use you as a punching bag. Get away and get help Fast!!!

I am feeling shocked reading this question. Do you really wonder it? Or are you blinded by love for your husband that you think hitting your partner is normal? It ain't! Get some self esteem and don't accept any hitting!
