well i think that means dress appropriately & act appropriately? wear something that dosent show cleavage. have a smile on your face and litsen to him when he's telling you to not do that or do something a certain way.
I's wear anything made for a bday. not too dressy. but not too plain. something casual.

formal or informal? try a simple dress and a shrug. OR slacks and a sweater. OR sweater and skirt . OR sweater and blouse(tucked in of course) OR jeans and a T-shirt.
