4 year old, having eyes examined by Opthamologist.

Because she squirms, and won't allow him near her.

She's going to be restrained. Will it hurt her ? What is it?

please answer. very worried about her.

It won't hurt her at all. They often put young children in them when they need stitches, etc.
My friend's littel boy was put in one when he needed stitches in the ER.
Basically, it is like a backboard the length of the child. Attached to it along the full length (not the head area) is basically a blanket, that has velcro closures on it. They wrap the child in the blanket, and close the velcro. It is very similar to wrapping an infant in blanket. The restraint hold the child from squirming and fighting, but puts no pressure or pain on any part of the body.

Like a crown that bolts on her head. I vote to use it on the mommy that can't make a child behave. But in this case if it works, it is just necessary and does not hurt. Just prevents head movement. Used every time for a brain scan and so far has never hurt.
