Kids in school laughed at me when I said that I believed. I never thought that my mother would lie ever. I was in the fourth grade. When I asked my mother she finally told me though it must have been a dissapointment to her. Santa does exist however, he lives in the hearts of us all.

I was 10. My parents let me figure it out on my own and when I said I thought maybe there wasn't a Santa, they said I was right.

I found out in the third grade by my least favorite teacher of all time. She took it upon herself to get in front of the class and tell all of us that she thought we were old enough to be told the truth. I can remember most of us, myself included, crying all the way home. The school principal was overloaded with phone calls from some very angry parents.

I caught my mom at the easter bunny deal one year and I figured if the Easter Bunny didn't exist, neither did Santa Claus.

When I realized how much Christmas today is a public celebration of greed, lust, and gluttony. It in no way represents what the holiday is supposed to be. It is truly a sign of how weak the christian religion has become by being too spread out, it can't keep what is sacred sacred. It is a good religion, but has become more of a bandwagon affair in the last century.
