If I remember right sperm can live for up to 72 hours once they have left the mans body but that was refering to being in the females body. If the sperm is kept at optimum body temp tyhen 72 hrs but if affected by heat or cold then much less

A woman ordinarily has two tubes and two ovaries, one at each side of her uterus. Every month one of the ovaries in turn releases an egg (ovum) which passes slowly along the tube towards the womb cavity
If the egg is not fertilised within 12 hours or so of being released, it dies; it cannot develop further. But if the woman has sexual intercourse during the days of her monthly cycle just before or at the time when an egg has been released from the ovary, then many sperm cells released by her partner may travel up to the Fallopian tube and one may fertilise the egg.
I know in the body its like 5-7 days, but what is it outside the body? Once they hit the air - as mammalian sperm is particularly vulnerable to damage through exposure to oxygen, but I think it's something like 24hrs out of the body, less if exposed to oxygen.

Sperm can stay as a lot as 0.5-hour outdoors the body. for instance, in case your donor replaced into getting his sperm count number checked, he would favor to alleviate himself in a uncovered specimen cup, and the Lab Technician would enable it sit down for kind of 20 minutes as a fashion to get a studying. desire this facilitates!

Well it depends on what you mean. If you've ejaculated into a woman's vagina, then it will last 72 hours. If frozen, indefinitely. If on the bed...who knows......not long.
