Why is Somalia part of the Arab League?

Why is Somalia part of the Arab league when Somalis are not Arabs.........or are they, and if so, how?

Well... the more Arab of the Somalian people are trying to wipe out another ethnic group. Ethnic clensing.... No one is doing anything effective about it.

Thre are many countries (like Iran, Egypt) that are members of the Arab league whose only claim to such membership is a religious one.
