Tomorrow, I'm going to be performing a routine at my school's basketball game during half-time. I'm totally freaking out because I get really bad stage-fright. Actually, I'm not so scared of messing up, I'm scared of, believe it or not, throwing up in front of everyone.. This is because whenever I get nervous, I get horrible stomach-aches. So bad that I nearly throw up. I don't know what to do to make myself less nervous! I mean, I've performed in front of a lot more people before, but I still can't help getting nervous! HELP!

Hi! I myself used to be like that everytime i had a piano concert. The same stomach aches. So what i came up with is to practice for countless hours and pretend people were actually sitting there watching. Slowly my stage fright diminished. Ofcourse it doesnt happen all of a sudden.....you just have to make yourself get used to a certain stimulus. Everything we do or everything that happens to us can be controlled by us. So dont freak out sweetie....just try to 'control'urself. And always remember these people are there cause they want to watch you and appreciate what youre performing!
Goodluck!

A nervous performer is the BEST performer ! . You go out there and remember.... each and every person watching you is just the same as you and would feel the same in youre shoes. Show them how NOT to feel nervous! I KNOW you can do this! I believe in you!

Take deep breaths and focus on only 1 person in the audience, thus taking your mind off the "crowd". Once you start your routine, I'm sure you will become energized by doing it - let the routine itself absorb your thoughts.

It is hard, but through practice you will master "crowds".

Good luck.

I would probably have to say, just concentrate on your performance and pretend your back at practice with no one watching.
