Due to mass media and the culture of the age. Degrading and disillusioned individuals propelling the arts and media scene lead the young astray. They think that it is the norm to be rude.
Poor education system, not enough emphasis on moral and ethics in school causes kids to learn from other streams of knowledge of which mass media plays a large role.
Lack of parental advise and supervision lead to wayward ethics of today's youngsters.

I honestly think it is a measure of the internet these days.
It is so easy to be rude when you do not have to face the person you are being rude to.
Online games started out all fun and playful, and then we noticed something called a "PK'er" showing up. "Player-Killer", someone who did not want to play with the game but only wanted to wait until we were 'doing our thing' and not paying attention to them. They would then kill as many of us online as possible and run away laughing.
This impersonal place called the internet has given rise to such great things as "information overload".... it has also become a hunting ground for people who have nothing better to do than hack our personal information and create havoc just for the fun of it.

1) the economy is ONLY good for the rich: most other people are poor and pissed off. So naturally, they take it out on those who Are NOT responsible! 2) Parents now do NOT teach their kids manners, by and large. There are more reasons, but I think those are the biggies.

Because rudeness is the weak person's strength. I don't remember who that quote is attributed to, but it's true.
People think that bring loud and disruptive and obnoxious is the same as being substantive.
Sad world, isn't it?

I don't know why people are so rude these days. I mean most people don't even say thank you if I hold open a door for them or anything for that matter.

People have always been rude, just people have travelled and travel more often. We meet people of all personality shapes and sizes. You can scrutinize it or learn to accept the fact that many people are rude.

i think since everyone talks online now and they don't actually have to see a person face to face while being rude they don't care if their rude. and slowly they just became used to being rude and do it all the time now.

Because wr don't teach the chidren rules of civility. Instead we teach them that that is every man/woman for him/herself and that only the most pushy survive.

People haven't been taught civility or manners, it's all about me me me .As long as I get what I want when I want it , I don't care about anyone else.
Pity isn't it, especially this time of year, but any time of year .
