Generally any time i am in a greenhouse i see these basics:
Petunias, Peonies, Geraniums, Lillies, Clematis, Hastas, Alyssum, Begonias, marigolds, Pansies. These are basic plants, most of them are really good for beginner gardening. Heres a website I found http://www.flower-gardening-made-easy.com/

I think you could have most any plants in a green house. It is just a healthy atmosphere to keep humidity up (probably not plants that are dessert plants) and warmer than winter temps.

Read the tags on plants. You probably want ones that prefer moisture. Like tropicals and rain Forrest type plants.

I have purchased many different plants and flowers from greenhouses. Ranging from lillies of many varieties to different types of ferns. Depends on what you are looking for and what time of the year it is and possibly what zone you live in.

That depends upon where you live. Some species of orchids are often kept in a greenhouse; as are other tropicals.
