My Guitarists Fender Twin amp stopped playing in clean and only plays in Overdrive. WHat could this be.

Well, if it's not mis-adjusted, could be something with a tube(s). In that case , take it to a shop and have them run a quick bench test on it.

Um, neither. The Hot-Rod Deville or the Blues Deville reissue in the 4X10 speaker configuration. Both of these amps were built using the '59 Bassman platform and then adding extras like reverb, channel switching and so on. The Twin is an excellent top-of-the-line amplifier, but from your question, you sound hooked on the Bassman. My reason for not recommending the Bassman is it's very one-dimensional with no reverb or dirty channel. This will cause you to get bored very quickly, and wish you bought the Twin. With either of the DeVille amps, you get the Bassman sound PLUS all the extras.
