I see a shift towards selfish values verses care and attention towards kids......look at kids today....more and more are messed up.

I agree with you. I'm shocked at how many children are on "medication" when what they really need are their parents. Children are our future, and heaven help us when we're needing care or in nursing homes and this generation has grown up medicated, with career-driven parents. Will they have any feelings?

I don't think there was ever a decline in family values (things have hardly changed since the beginning of the entire world), there have always been family problems, but they weren't lived out in the open (and especially in the media) like they are now.

not really. I think that the "family value" movement is overrated.

You provide a loving family environment at home for your kids, that is the family values they need. Kids learn by what you do, not what you say.

I do think that not having a parent or grandparent at home does sometimes have negative impact but well that's the only downer. Our society has been like that for over 30 years tho even close to 40 if you include moms like mine who were trail blazers.
