I turned on T.V and saw a department store ad wishing people "Happy Holiday". Why can't they say Merry Christmas instead? I guess more than 90% of Americans are Christians.

Say what makes you happy.

I prefer "Merry Christmas" and most people don't take offense to you wishing them a Merry Christmas, even if they aren't Christian.

Same as I'm not offended if someone wishes me a "Happy Holiday".

It's only weirdos that have the time to be offended when someone is wishing you well in an expression they believe in.

Merry Christmas offends some people. Especially followers of Madeline Ohare or whatever her name was that stopped the Pledge of Allegience (One nation under God) out of the school system.

Hey, Merry Christmas.

Department stores need to think about ALL the possible customers. Even if 90% are Christians, they need to think of the other 10% that aren't. So.....Happy Holidays to ALL.
