it will take a very long time to heal though...but it should eventually go away, its just blood vessels, really really small ones, that are broken, which allows the blood to soak into the tissue, so it will eventually seep away.

no. It might take a good while for the bruising to completely go away but it can not leave a permanent mark unless you opened the skin.

I think sometimes the tissues can be damaged and lead to marks that last a long time. I had a really deep bruise on my calf about 3 years ago, and it is just recently that the entire mark has faded.

Ya' know that white, pulpy stuff most people peel off an orange & throw away? Well, that white stuff is full of citrus bioflavanoids which not only speed up the healing of bruises, they make capillary walls stronger & can actually help prevent bruising in the first place.

Depending on several factors, some haematomas(bruises)will take longer to heal than others.Permanent,no.

Once its gone, then its gone. A bruise is simply blood that pooled under your skin. Your body will naturally reabsorb it in time.
