I want to know whether or not people believe in Bigfoot, Sasquatch or other mysterious bipeds across the globe (yeti, orang-pendek, almas, etc.) and if anyone does, why they do and what their explanation is. If anyone doesn't, I'm also curious as to why and their explanation for why it isn't real.

I really don't know, maybe they think they are too fictitious but they can exist.

Well obviously you can't prove them a hoax. The problem arises when you try to prove they exist. Having devoted a great deal of my spare time investigating the subject of bigfoot, I have come to the conclusion that Bigfoot is almost certainly real. I am an extreme skeptic. I don't believe anything unless I think I understand it myself so I learned a great deal about biomechanics, paleoanthropology, paleontology, evolution, etc. The history of sightings going back to the early pioneers, the Native American stories and myths, the footprint evidence, hair, scat, sightings, the Patterson film, hand prints, the Skookum body cast, etc. point to a real creature. There was a night when my brother and I heard something that seemed to be walking on two legs approach us very near to where Patterson filmed the famous picture of a bigfoot walking away. We went there looking for bigfoot evidence but this thing was approaching us at night out in the middle of nowhere. We waited and listened. It approached down the logging road. I could hear the ground crushed beneath each long step. It got so loud that I thought for sure it would appear in the darkness right on us, yet it still kept getting louder and closer. You might not think that you would be scared in this situation but it is hard to describe. My brother and I couldn't wait any longer and we jumped in the car and tore out of there. I wish we didn't. Both he and I were infantry sergeants and grew up in the woods, but whatever that thing was that was approaching was way way bigger than a human and it was clearly walking on two legs. That was apparent by the sound as clear and crisp on the silent night. I could hear the foot rolling as if a giant tire were rolling for a portion of a second then a couple second of silence and then the next step would hit and roll along. It just kept getting louder to the point that it just seemed impossible. Our encounter was very mild compared to most. We never reported it. Anyway that is not why I believe, but it certainly was pretty compelling evidence for me.

I also think that the Yeti and Orang Pendek are pretty likely. It is pretty irritating that we have more than one hairy hominoid but that is the simplest explanation for the evidence.

Yes, I do believe in them. Just because most of Westeners haven't seen them, doesn't mean they don't exist. Gorialls were thought to be a hoax until the 1920's. Besides, native peoples across the globe are smarter than what we give them credit for. I also believe in Nessie.

Mythology is mostly based upon fact.

Bigfoot once existed until humanity hunted and killed everyone for food/clothing. They are extinct today. They did exist at one time, which is why they are in so many old legends. Today, they are all just men trying to make it big in monkey suits. Sorry!

False. Doesn't exist.
I think BigFoot was proven to be a hoax back in the 80's.

you're tempted to imagine otherwise, yet in case you observe all 3 pictures contained in the series, you observe that is a bear contained in the first shot. look on the foot length in all 3 pictures. they're the same sized foot.

I do believe in them. I think they are a giant ape known as Gigantis Pythias, that is not spelled right I'm sure. I think they did not go extinct and small pockets were left in remote places.

the odds are there is something to these legends and myths or otherwise they would not have survived throughout the ages as they have.
