I'm a female and thinking about marriage. I'd like to know, from a mans perspective, what they think is most important in a stay at home mom/wife and why. Examples...cooking, taking good care of the kids, great in the bedroom. I know this is a broad topic so please just select a few qualities that you want your wife to/does excel at.

The main things are just common sense.
But a real big thing is to make sure the guy always thinks of his home as the place he wants to be. If he always walks through the door and is hit with bit@ching and urgent problems that need solved, home will be an unattractive place. And at best you will turn the guy into a workaholic, staying away from the hassles of home.
Make coming home an experience that he looks forward to all day.

Personally, if my wife was a stay at home wife, I wouldn't really expect her to do all of the cooking and cleaning, but I would expect her to take good care of the kids, but its not like she'd be the only one caring for them. As for "in the bedroom", she wouldn't have to be the best there ever was, because if you base a relationship around your sex life, they don't tend to last long. I guess thats a pretty passive way of looking at it, but I'm not perfect so I don't expect her to be perfect.

Here is why I love my wife: She is a great cook keeps the house clean a great Mother grandmother & greatgrandmother she is clean good in bed still after 49 years: above all she is my best friend and she realy puts up with a lot from me.I'am not in good health and I do not know what I would do without her here to care for me,Oh yea she loves me too.

1. she loves me
2. willing to talk to work things out.
3. affectionate. I like lots of hugs etc, etc.
4. Gives good massages. Easy to massage.
5. Fun to talk to.
6. Good heart.
7. Easy to buy gifts for and likes different food types.
8. Not controlling or nagging. Open minded.
9. I got to be attracted to her so reasonably o.k looking in my eyes. Does not have to be angelina jolie though.
10. Likes to do different things for fun.
11. Cares about me, not overly self centered but does not forgot herself.
12. Speaks her mind, I got to be able to know what shes thinking.
13. Loves and wants kids.
Cook is nice to have. Great in bed, if all others satisfied and she's interested, then that should not be problem.

Commitment - knowing that no matter what else goes wrong she will always be there for me. Not living in fear that our marriage will become another statistic. Nothing else matters as much.
