The 70's, I was a teenager in the 70's, the music was great, jobs were plentiful, loved the fashion and the not a care in the world attitude I had at that time, great time and it would be nice to go back, yes I could do without the mod cons, well except my computer.

The period between the two world wars, roughly 20s & 30s. Such a progressive time, even more so than the 60s. The world was truly changing. I would have loved to have travelled during this time also ,and I agree with a previous writer, the music was brilliant, and decadent for it`s time, the cotton club being the most famous venue. And yes I think I could live without todays mod cons in yesterdays world because that would be the norm. What we need or think we need is mostly driven by social pressure anyway.

I'd go back to the 80's. I love the music, the films, well especially the films. The Bratpack and the breakfast club are awesome. All that 80's rock like Kiss! I would love to have the big hair and tight trousers lol. I think I could cope because they did have a few mod cons then, it was all getting started, with the mobile phones like council bricks and amstrad computers. I was born in 1984 and my mam gave me a mullet when I was 4, the pictures are hilarious! I'm standing there with a moonwalk t shirt, bermuda shorts and a mullet! my big sister had a big curly ginger 'do. fab!

Id go back to the 60s. I think I could cope without all the modern stuff because all of my favorite bands are from the 60s or 50s and people acually want to play outside and you could be a hippie. I think that would be a pretty fun decade to live in.

I have always envied my grandfather who was born in 1889. He witnessed the automobile, flight, moon landing - so much technology! What have I witnessed in 48 years? Well, the moon landing, but other than that, it's pretty much been the development of the computer, which although it is impressive, is not romantic.
So I would be born in 1889 and witness the same things my grandfather did.
This was not SOOO long ago, so I can't think of too many conveniences I'd be missing out on.

The 50's & 60's. I think it would be cool to be a hippie and not worry about everything people have to deal with these days.
